This quote and photo remind me of a vacation Mark and I enjoyed in Maine in October, 2006 when we were still dating. I had never traveled to New England before then, and as a Texas native, I distinctly recall being absolutely blown away by the magnificent display of Fall colors. Never before had I seen anything like it. Sure, I had seen photos of autumn’s display in the Northeastern U.S., but no photo, not even this one truly does justice to the sensory overload I felt. But, it comes close.
