Etsy Finds :: Birds

Etsy Finds featuring birds - Living Vintage

You guys, I have had so much fun the past several days searching for wonderful Etsy goodies.  I don’t want to just feature the first thing I see or even the second, but items I find that I would love to own myself.  It is a such a dangerous endeavor, though — I have been so tempted to buy several things for myself, and that’s the last thing I need to do during Christmas shopping season.  I’m happy to report that I have not succumbed to temptation … so far.    We will see if that will last!!!

I’m very curious to see if you like some of these birds I picked out for you.  Please let me know!

Vintage Handwork Kunstlerschutz German flocked eagle - Vintage Junk in my Trunk - featured on Living VintageI had never heard of Kunstlerschutz German toys (had you?) until I saw this sweet little flocked eagle.    I’ve since discovered that there’s a blog and Facebook page devoted to these little critters.    In addition to this bird, Vintage Junk in my Trunk has four more of these little creatures for sale.

birds poster - sold by Peony and Thistle - featured on Living VintagePeony and Thistle has several bird posters available in their shop.  This one is my favorite.

fine art print of an original watercolor painting of birds by Sandra Ovono - featured on Living VintageSandra Ovono’s watercolor print perfectly captures birds in winter, doesn’t it.

handmade bird by oh albatross - featured on Living VintageRegina at Oh, Albatross creates the loveliest birds, so lovely in fact that it was hard for me to pick my favorite.  Her white owl was a close second.

field and stream playing cards - sold by The Vintage Hog - featured on Living VintageMy family plays card games whenever we get together.  I’m very tempted to buy these Field & Stream playing cards for my brother who loves to hunt.

  little wooden feathers - made by for Craft - featured on Living VintageThe Etsy shop, for Craft, sells these lovely little handmade wooden feathers in different quantities.  They’re shipped unfinished and can be used for craft projects, displayed ‘as is’, or painted.

miniature peanut butter tin - featured on Living VintageMiniature peanut butter tins are very hard to find at an affordable price, and this one still has its lovely graphics and is priced very reasonably.

handmade crow made by Treasured Primitives - featured on Living VintageTreasured Primitives sells vintage items and make fabulous reproduction pieces like this raven.  You should definitely check them out.

leather iphone case made by Tovicorrie - featured on Living VintageTovicorrie makes pretty phone cases, luggage tags, card holders, key chains, and other things using leather and pretty graphics.  This iPhone case was one of my personal favorites.

St. Francis figurine sold by Sadie Olive - featured on Living VintageI love Sadie Olive‘s St. Francis figurine holding a cross in one hand and a bird in the other.    It’s wonderful!

vintage celluloid birds sold by Beca Runs - featured on Living VintageMy biggest buying temptation this week came when I saw this miniature flock of birds.    They’re made from celluloid and they’re awesome.

eagle corkscrew - sold by Switch Blade and Cookie - featured on Living VintageCan you believe this handsome guy is also a corkscrew and bottle opener?  It’s made by Zoo Line, a line of products that used to be sold at zoos.  A wine lover or bird lover would love to own it, I’m sure.
