A Quote for Today : Home Comforts

A Quote for Today - Living Vintagevia

I’m always a homebody, but I turn into someone who barely wants to leave the house when it gets cold outside.

How about you?

If I didn’t have to go to work, I’m afraid I’d never step foot outside during the coldest weather!

Totally with you there! It’s brutal working on old house salvage work when the temps drop below 40.

I am the same as you! if I didn’t have to get groceries, I wouldn’t leave the house at all in the winter, actually if I didn’t have to feed a husband and kids, I wouldn’t leave at all, I would just get 20 boxes of cereal to live off of for the winter 🙂

Totally! I think I’d stock up on hamburger meat and other things that would cook well in a crockpot and make casseroles, chili and other comfort foods.

A nice brisk walk followed by some hot tea or cocoa by the fire – that I like to do. Getting up in the dark and slogging to work – NOT!

Yes, the freedom of choice would make all the difference, wouldn’t it. I do not like freezing my butt off working outside, that’s for sure.

I agree ladies! I just wanna curl up in my jammie pants and hibernate. I’m not spoiled by any stretch, but I would be just fine with having everything delivered! lol. Instead I go to work at 530 am and shovel snow and put down salt..before I start my custodial job. Yeah hibernation sounds just grand! ha

Your comment reminds me one time when I mentioned to my husband that I could live in Maine. He responded that he didn’t believe that! He knows that I hate the cold. I said that I would just hibernate and I’d fine! 🙂

yep! and I don’t know about you, but every day I get older the less I like it. I love getting your emails and checking out your blog! I SO want to get into deconstructing old houses and maybe selling the stuff(and using some of course! lol). I love being surrounded by the old beauty and workmanship. It would be such a gift to see these old places and the things in them put to use. Thank you! If there’s any advice you’d ever want to impart, I’m open to it all. Take care. 🙂

            Same here!

My biggest advice to you is: follow your dreams! I wish I had done that when I was much younger.

If you want to send me a list of questions, perhaps that would be a great opportunity for me to not only help you, but do a blog post! How about it?

I’ll have to do that! I AM very interested. I’m swamped now but I will try to soon. I just switched shifts at work, am trying to hoe out my house and get it ready for a realtor to check out(I Wanna downsize so I can maybe afford to go after the dream!) lol As you can tell I’m trying some changes. Thank you so much and again, I’ll try to do that soon.

My outdoor trips are limited these days. I never complain about the heat and I never will. So ready for warm weather!!
