Recent Flea Market Finds

Recent Flea Market FindsThis is my biggest purchase:  a set of 4 identical corbels.  I’m not sure what I’ll do with them.  Maybe on a guest house one day?  Until then, I’ll just enjoy them.

Recent Flea Market FindsI bought this cute 1922 calendar with my brother in mind.   He loves to fish and is as rebellious as the boy in the illustration. I think he’ll like it.

Recent Flea Market Finds

Recent Flea Market FindsI bought two old tool pouches because I’ve seen bags and pillows made with them that I absolutely love.  (I’ll share one of them on a Friday Favorites post soon.)

Recent Flea Market Finds

Recent Flea Market FindsI spotted these vintage office chairs and had to have them.  Although they may not look it, they are incredibly comfortable.  Plus, they’re so much prettier than the standard issue office chairs we’ve been using since renovating our home office.

Recent Flea Market Finds

Recent Flea Market FindsI bought this really cute apron for $1.  A DOLLAR, people.   I couldn’t believe it.

Recent Flea Market Finds

Recent Flea Market FindsI’m fascinated by typography — really, I have no idea why.  Maybe it relates to my love of office supplies?  Whatever the reason, I bought these cards and they’re now displayed on my bookshelves.

Recent Flea Market Finds

Recent Flea Market FindsI discovered these little quilt blocks at the antique mall in Tyler, and bought about six of them.  My theory is that they were a school project.  Don’t you think they’ll be cute as pillows?

Recent Flea Market Finds

Recent Flea Market FindsThis miniature saddle will be a Christmas present for my stepfather . . . if I don’t decide to keep it first.  It’s really cute and well made.

Recent Flea Market Finds

Recent Flea Market FindsI bought this old hankie just because I thought it was unusual and hilarious.  It’s destined to be a very cute pillow for our Americana living room.

Recent Flea Market FindsNo, that’s not a K and a 9, but a K and a lowercase G.  I couldn’t resist them.

That’s about it for the last few weeks.  Hope you enjoyed seeing my latest treasures.  I know I like when other bloggers share their flea market purchases.  I suppose I get a vicarious thrill from looking at their goodies.  Anyway, I thought I’d give it a try and see what you think.

I loved viewing your latest finds, Kim! The graphics on the calendar are wonderful! The quilt squares and tool pouches will make great pillows! I bought a quilt top that’s similar to your squares. It was made for somebody’s wedding, but never finished. I can’t help but think that maybe the marriage didn’t last.

    Thanks for sharing!

Kim! My word you have been busy 🙂 You found such beautiful and unusual things! I love all of them especially the Corbels. The quilt squares do look reminiscent of school projects they are so sweet. Using them for pillows will be lovely. I always look forward to reading your blog! Enjoy the day.

What a fun post. Love all your finds. I especially like your letters in the last photo. I’m wondering if maybe the ‘g’ could be turned over and maybe be used as a lowercase ‘a’. ??? TFS!!
