Pieces of the Past in Johnson City

Pieces of the Past.  Isn’t that a wonderful name for a store that specializes in selling reclaimed materials?

I think so.

I always find somethings (yes, that’s deliberately plural) I cannot walk away from.  As a matter of fact, we bought the K and G there.  We also bought architectural roofing remnants we repurposed as towel hooks, a small pair of chippy white cabinet doors, and several old doors that we will one day repurpose as cabinetry.

What else?  Oh yeah, an architectural piece that we now have hanging in our living room.

And, a few Christmas gifts.

I could go on and on.

Oh, and the toolbox I showed you earlier?  I goofed and told you I bought it at Canton.  Nope, that was bought a Kathy’s store.

I’ve also got my eye on one of her cupolas.

I’m telling you, if you love architectural salvage like we do, you must stop in at her store next time you’re in the mood for a shopping excursion to the Hill Country area.    I’m sure you’ll find something that you will be unable to resist also.  In fact, I’d be shocked if you don’t find something because she has two buildings and a yard full of treasures.

Now I’ll just shut up and show you some of her goodies, and you can shop to your heart’s content.

OMG! I already saw at least 25 things I could use for this old house. Sadly, too farr and out of country to go…..

Uh oh. Sounds like a road trip. Johnson City is only about 45 minutes from us. Can’t believe I’ve never seen this place. Thanks for sharing, Kim.
