Abandoned Near Canton

an abandoned house near Canton

I promised I would share photos of the old house we discovered on our way to and from Canton.   I thought it was quite lovely.  I did respect the “no trespassing signs” and shot all of these images from the road.

I hope you enjoy seeing the old place as much as I did.

Kids chasing chickens, laundry on the line, hard working man home to eat a simple meal with his family. Bet they were grateful for it all! Great pictures.

A lot to be imagined here … I wonder how old this place is. The past always seems to be so romantic. In the next to the last photo I noticed the much larger/newer white house way in the background.
    Love your photos!

Those are great photographs of that old home. I’m sad to see the condition and I’m just sure it had a lovely family that enjoyed many happy times!
    Happy 4th!

    Hi Kim,
Where is the Canton from which you write? Not Canton , Ohio? Just checking, my husband grew up near there is why I ask. Found you through Panoply blog.
