True Survivors (33/52)

They are indeed true survivors.

This is the time of year when neither Mark or I can bear to be outside for long because it’s usually so stinkin’ hot.  As a result, the weeds (and the bugs) take over our vegetable garden.

I was reminded of that when I read this quote.  It reminded me that, despite hating them, you just have to admire the tenacity of weeds.

It is so hot and muggy, my glasses steamed up after I got out of the air conditioned truck, and there were various beetles and insects in my kitchen in the middle of the night and even a frog!

I can definitely empathize. It’s been so rainy here — I think it’s rained once every day for the past 10 days. Your comment about bugs reminded me of our annual ladybug invasion. Last year it was HORRIBLE. I love ladybugs but good grief. It took about a month for them to be totally gone.
